Aims & Scope
The Scientific Bulletin of Valahia University - Materials and Mechanics (SBMM) is a bi-annual multi-disciplinary journal that publishes cutting-edge research across the entire spectrum of materials science, engineering and mechanics, with an increasing impact on other classical disciplines such as physics, chemistry and architecture. Topics include Nanostructural materials, ceramic and refractory materials, metallic and nonmetallic materials, composite materials; Synthesis/processing, structure/composition, characterization, properties and performance of materials; Equipments for chemical and petrochemical industry, industrial robots, micro and nano robots, design technology CAD,CAM,CAE, biomedical equipments. Research addressing one or several of the following issues will be published as unique contributions across a variety of topics, including, but not limited to: Engineering and structural materials (metals and alloys, ceramics, composites); Organic and soft materials (glasses, colloids, liquid crystals, polymers); Nanomaterials and processes; Biomaterials; Optoelectronic materials and Superconducting materials; Magnetic materials; Materials for electronics; Materials for energy and energy conversion; Materials for buildings / architectural entities (ageing, damaging, preservation); Computation / modelling; Surfaces, interfaces and thin films; Design, synthesis, processing and characterization techniques; Mechanics of Materials and Mechatronics; Stress Analysis / Fatigue Mechanisms and Machines; Micro- and Nano- Mechanical Systems. SBMM will publish review articles, news and views, short papers, interviews on the above-mentioned topics.
