PROMETEICA es una revista multimedia de origen latinoamericano, de acceso abierto, flujo continuo y en línea. Ofrece un espacio público y libre de diálogo interdisciplinario para la comprensión de las ciencias desde una perspectiva humanista, en la cual el hombre mismo es también objeto de reflexión. Se admite como fundamental, a partir del uso de recursos digitales, el diálogo de la Filosofía y sus subáreas con otras ciencias — como la Física, la Biología, la Química y la Matemática — y con estudios sociohistóricos, antropológicos y de arte, posibilitando la comprensión de la construcción del conocimiento en una perspectiva diacrónica.
