Das Berliner Journal für Soziologie ist eine allgemeine soziologische Fachzeitschrift, die Beiträge aus allen Forschungs- und Themenbereichen der Soziologie publiziert.   Veröffentlicht Abhandlungen, Essays und Forschungsnotizen zu klassischen und modernen theoretischen Ansätzen sowie neuen empirischen Befunden. Schwerpunkthefte und Review-Essays vertiefen Themen der deutschen und internationalen Sozialwissenschaften und informieren über den Stand der Forschung. Forum für die Diskussion aktueller soziologischer Problemstellungen im Lichte theoretischer und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklungen. Sitz der Redaktion am Max-Weber-Kolleg der Universität Erfurt.
