Aims & Scope

Child Indicators Research presents a range of research on children’s well-being. This includes measurements and indicators of children's well-being and their usage within multiple domains and in diverse cultures, as well as theoretical and methodological debates regarding what constitutes children’s well-being and what factors contribute to children’s well-being. It features measures and data resources, analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, exploration of theoretical issues, the development and use of quantitative and qualitative approaches to well-being and information about the status of children, as well as the implementation of this information in policy and practice. The journal explores how child indicators and innovations in research on child well-being can be used to improve the development and well-being of children. Validation of tools is not published in the journal. Child Indicators Research offers a unique, applied perspective by presenting a variety of analytical models, different perspectives, and a range of social policy regimes. It provides a source of high quality, policy impact and rigorous scientific papers.
