Our mission is to educate the public and professionals about the science of drugs and drug addiction. This includes offering information regarding the causes of drug addiction and the associated consequences. We also aim to offer information about addiction treatment. We cover the latest scientific revelations regarding drugs and drug addiction. We achieve this by monitoring the scientific journals dealing with this subject. This means Bentham is at the forefront of addiction research, and we aim to educate the public using simple and easy to understand language. To achieve these aims, our team of volunteers contribute to our blog on a weekly basis. Typical topics we cover include: the causes of addiction, neuroscience, genetics, therapy, rehabilitation, long-term recovery and relapse. Our aim is to ensure our readers are able to understand these topics that many deem too complex for comprehensive. We achieve this by ensuring all blog posts are written and then rewritten in easy to understand language. This approach means the drug science is no longer confined to those in academia. At Bentham, we work incredibly hard in bringing you all the latest updates about drugs and drug addiction. We particularly focus on the science of addiction. This website is made possible by our army of unpaid volunteers who contribute to the website on a daily basis.
