Aims & Scope
LingVaria are a semi-annual journal published since 2006 by the Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University, publishing articles in the field of linguistics, mainly Polish studies, but also in the field of general and Slavic linguistics. The recipients are linguists, as well as doctoral students and students with linguistic interests. The founder and first editor-in-chief of LingVaria is prof. dr hab. Mirosław Skarżyński. The basic (reference) version of the journal is the electronic version. Topics of the journal and the type of texts accepted Scientific articles in the field of linguistics, especially Slavic studies, are published in "LingVaria". Particular attention is paid to issues of general linguistics, semantics, lexicography, etymology, synchronic and diachronic linguistics, dialectology, and sociolinguistics, ethnolinguistics, onomastics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, as well as the history of linguistics. The journal accepts original scientific articles, polemics, and source editions written in Polish and the so-called congress languages.
