Chrześcijaństwo-Świat-Polityka
Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University Press · Poland · Est. 2016
Aims & Scope
The journal "Chrześcijaństwo-Świat-Polityka" is a unique and widely recognized scientific journal in the field of political science, published in both print and online formats. Its uniqueness stems from the issues it addresses, focusing on "soft political science" (philosophy and theory of politics, political axiology and anthropology, political ethics, the relationship between politics and religion, including Catholic social teaching), the quality of published texts, which are largely authored by widely recognized, distinguished Polish and foreign authors, and finally, a scientific paradigm different from that of most periodicals. As the journal's aim is to view broadly understood political matters from the perspective of a dynamically understood Christian tradition, instead of the atheistic paradigm dominant in political science, the journal is based on a transcendental paradigm, while remaining open to researchers adopting an agnostic paradigm. The journal "Chrześcijaństwo-Świat-Polityka" is edited by the Institute of Political Science and Administration of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The journal is international. It addresses various issues from the sphere of socio-political life, viewing them in the context of the Christian intellectual tradition. The journal is thematic – all articles in an issue are devoted to one, titular topic. Due to the diversity of approaches and positions on the titular topic by the authors, each issue represents a kind of record of actual scientific debate. The published articles are not confessional in nature, but represent an attempt at the broadest possible view of political, social, religious, legal, cultural, or economic matters, drawing inspiration from the pronouncements of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, as well as other denominations or currents of Christianity. In the intellectual debate conducted in the journal, a special place is given to recognized, distinguished representatives of the world of science, whose numerous contributions are a particularly valuable aspect of each issue.
