IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc. · United States · Est. 1973
Aims & Scope
IEEE Reviews in Biomedical Engineering (RBME) provides a platform to review the state-of-the-art and trends in the emerging field of biomedical engineering, an interdisciplinary field embracing engineering, life sciences and medicine. The goal of RBME is to consolidate the research and state-of-the-art reviews for members of all the IEEE societies that have an interest in biomedical engineering. There is a significant demand for such reviews among the authors of various IEEE journals that publish biomedical-related articles, but the current journals, with their focus on original articles and communications/letters, are not able to meet this demand. Hence, the RBME receives, reviews, and publishes under one umbrella the contributions of scholarly works, ranging from historic and modern development in biomedical engineering to the life sciences and medicine enabled by technologies covered by the various IEEE societies and vice versa.
