Aims & Scope

publishes significant results in the area of commutative algebra and closely related fields including algebraic number theory, algebraic geometry, representation theory, semigroups, and monoids. Our editors seek to publish articles in commutative algebra of the highest caliber and widest interest to the field, and much attention is paid to the potential appeal, novelty, and exposition of each submitted article. JCA does not accept papers that build incrementally on known results, or papers which are not of general interest to the (broadly construed) commutative algebra research community. The Journal of Commutative Algebra publishes research papers and substantial expository articles in commutative algebra and closely related fields including algebraic number theory, algebraic geometry, representation theory, semigroups and monoids.
