Aims & Scope

“Autism and developmental disorders” (Russia)publishes scientific and practice-oriented articles on educational, developmental, general, special, family aspects, psychological diagnostics and correction of ASD. Published in the journal materials reflect the dynamic picture of professional community life, form rich information environment, creating the opportunity for representatives of different schools of thought to participate in creative dialogue. The mission of the journal is to promote the development of evidence-based interdisciplinary approaches to the assessment, diagnosis, education, support, and care of children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. The journal is committed to the international integration of findings from fundamental and applied research and evidence-based practices, taking into account the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities themselves, their families, professionals, and social institutions. Fundamental research direction — publication of results from interdisciplinary studies aimed at investigating the characteristics and mechanisms of developmental disorders associated with autism spectrum disorders. Applied research direction — publication of results from practice-oriented studies and materials that promote the development, evaluation, and implementation of evidence-based practices, new diagnostic tools, educational technologies, as well as support and care for children, adolescents, and adults with ASD and their families. The formatting and submission guidelines for publication are set out in the manual “Guidelines for Preparing Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education”.
