Russian Academy of Sciences,Department of the Earth Sciences · Russian Federation · Est. 2006
Aims & Scope
The journal publishes original scientific articles on the application of algorithm theory, methods of applied mathematics, and statistics for solving biological problems. The journal's subject matter includes: bioinformatics (application of algorithms and statistical procedures for analyzing huge volumes of information generated by high-tech methods of experimental biology and molecular genetics); mathematical biology (formalization and mathematical modeling of biological objects and their communities); computational genomics (study of the structure and functions of cell and organism genomes); molecular modeling (mathematical modeling of biological processes, including simulation modeling); structural biology (modeling and prediction of biomolecule structures and their complexes from experimental data); computational biochemistry and biophysics (kinetic and thermodynamic models of cellular processes and their interactions, molecular dynamics methods).
