Catalan Historical Review, the international journal of the History and Archaeology Section of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC), aims to enable the current state of knowledge about the history of the Catalan-speaking lands - Catalonia, the Valencian Country, the Balearic Islands, and other lands related to them - to be known throughout the world. It will achieve this by publishing articles of synthesis dealing with ongoing research into major topics of political, social, economic, legal, literary and artistic history of all periods, from the most ancient to the most recent, on the basis of bibliography published in recent years.
