Filologia Germanica
Ledizioni · Italy · Est. 2009
Aims & Scope
Filologia Germanica – Germanic Philology is the first journal entirely dedicated to Germanic philology and closely related disciplines published to date in Italy. Although conceived primarily for an Italian audience, the journal is open to contributions from scholars worldwide. The journal, sponsored and financed by the Italian Association of Germanic Philology (AIFG), has been active since 2009 and is published annually. Each issue is dedicated to a specific Germanic linguistic, literary, and cultural theme. Articles are published in Italian or in one of the major international languages and are provided with an abstract in English. Annually, the members' assembly decides on a theme, followed by a Call for Papers, in consideration of which the Author formulates a proposal for a relevant contribution. The journal uses anonymous refereeing by Italian and foreign experts according to the double-blind peer review procedure and is published on this platform in Open Access (CC BY-SA). The journal is in ANVUR Class A for the entire Area 10 – Ancient, Philological-Literary, and Historical-Artistic Sciences.
