Aims & Scope

Bone & Joint Research (BJR) is a gold open access journal with an impact factor of 5.1, dedicated exclusively to publishing research related to disorders of the musculoskeletal system and their treatment. Through a continuous publication model, the journal aims to provide rapid publication of research across a range of disciplines in the musculoskeletal sciences including, but not limited to: basic science; bioengineering; biomechanics; regenerative medicine; stem cells; inflammation; immunology; infection; metabolomics; proteomics; tissue research; ligaments; veterinary orthopaedics; pre-clinical and translational laboratory studies where there is clear relevance to the treatment of disorders in humans that conform to CONSORT and STROBE guidelines; and studies from the device and pharmaceutical industries.
