Aims & Scope

BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine is a peer reviewed, Open Access journal covering all aspects of sports and exercise medicine (SEM) and associated areas. We will consider a broad array of topics within the themes of physical activity, exercise as medicine, and sports medicine; and are inclusive of scientific approaches ranging from qualitative methods, epidemiology, to measurement development and evaluation. We aim to publish original research, reviews (in particular systematic reviews) and study protocols considered to be coherent and technically sound, ensuring that the latest research is reviewed and disseminated rapidly to a global audience.
