Annals of the Academy of Romanian Scientists. Series on History and Archaeology Sciences Remark: This journal does not charge APCs or submission charges.The journal of History and Archaeology Sciences is part of theAnnals of the Academy of Romanian Scientists– ARS, in which several series are published. Although the Academy is almost one century old, due to the historical conditions after WW2 in Eastern Europe, it is just starting with 2006 that the Annals are published. The Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Annals ARS is the Honorary President of ARS, Prof. Dr. V. Candea. The Series Editor is the Prof. Ioan Scurtu. Two issues are published every year, starting with 2009, both in electronic [on-lineISSN 2067 – 5682,Open Acces] and printed [ISSN 2066 – 8597] form. REVIEWING PROCESSThe reviewing process of the articles sent to be published in the Annals – Series on on History and Archaeology consists of two stages:First stage: Editorial board members check the articles for compliance with the requirements specified in Guidelines for authors. Articles that do not meet those requirements are returned to authors to be revised.Second stage: The editorial board forwards the paper to two scientific reviewers who assess the scientific value of the paper. The journal has 10 reviewers external to the editorial board.Based on recommendations made by the reviewers Editorial board members may take the following decisions:✓the paper will be published;✓the paper will be published after minor revisions;✓the paper will be published after major revisions;✓the paper will not be published. In every case the author[s] will be informed about the decision.Most commonly papers that are accepted require several rounds of revision. Since the submission may require several rounds of review and most of this time is determined by how promptly the author responds, there is no meaningful average time between submission and publication or rejection.
