Les Cahiers d’Afrique de l’Est diffusent des travaux issus de recherches de terrain. Les recherches portent sur des thématiques propres aux sciences sociales et humaines, principalement la sociologie, la géographie, l’histoire, l’anthropologie, l’urbanisme et la science politique.
