Aims & Scope
Physical Culture and Sport. Studies and Research (PCSSR) is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary open-access journal published on a rolling (open-volume) basis by the Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Poland (est. 1978). The journal has earned international recognition in the social sciences of sport. PCSSR brings together established and emerging scholars alongside practitioners, policymakers, and opinion leaders across the global sport ecosystem. We publish high-quality original articles, theoretical contributions, and reviews that examine the social, cultural, pedagogical, managerial, and philosophical dimensions of sport and physical activity. We particularly welcome research linking sport with broader societal issues – health promotion, education, sustainability, inclusion, and community development. By fostering dialogue between research and practice, PCSSR advances scholarship and promotes positive social change through sport.
