Aims & Scope

Al-Muamalat: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah (e-ISSN 2716-0610 ; p-ISSN 2086-3225 ) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Department of Sharia Economic Law, Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, in collaboration with the Sharia Economic Community (Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah/MES) West Java and the Association of Indonesian Sharia Economic Law Study Programs and Lecturers (POSDHESI). The journal specialises in Islamic economics, Islamic finance, Islamic business innovation, and Islamic economic law, with a particular emphasis on the role of these fields in emerging economies. Al-Muamalat is dedicated to disseminating high-quality, original research that explores the integration of Islamic principles into contemporary economic, financial, legal, and technological contexts, contributing to both global academic discourse and practical advancements worldwide. The journal welcomes manuscripts on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: Digital transformation in Islamic economic, financial, and legal sectors Financial inclusion and Islamic financial services Sustainable economic development based on Islamic economic and legal principles Post-pandemic recovery strategies through Islamic economic mechanisms Innovation and technology in Islamic business practices Sharia-compliant digital finance and financial technology (FinTech) Islamic social finance (zakat, waqf, and sadaqah) for socio-economic development Contemporary applications of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah in business, finance, and law Legal frameworks and regulatory issues in Islamic finance and Islamic business transactions Development of halal industries and digital commerce in emerging economies Al-Muamalat seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to contribute to the advancement of Islamic economic thought, finance, business innovation, and economic law in a globalised and increasingly digital world.
