Aims & Scope

Komuniti : Journal of Communication and Information Technology is a scholarly journal managed by the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. It is committed to presenting up-to-date, insightful, and impactful research that contributes significantly to the development of communication studies across diverse fields. The journal serves as a platform for academics and practitioners to engage with theoretical and empirical work that deepens the understanding of communication processes in various human contexts. Recognizing the centrality of media in message delivery, Komuniti publishes manuscripts that explore, analyze, and explain the processes, causes, and effects of communication in everyday life. The scope of the journal encompasses a wide range of communication contexts, including but not limited to: • Mass communication • New media • Interpersonal and group communication • Organizational communication • Corporate communication • Intercultural communication • Marketing communication • Crisis communication • Health communication • Political communication • Social Informatics By offering critical and relevant references that give insight into current communication dynamics, Komuniti aims to support the advancement of knowledge and professional practice in the communication field.
