Aims & Scope
About the Journal Focus and Scope Humaniora: Journal of Indonesian Culture and Society (Humaniora JICAS) is a national journal published in April and November, hosted by the Research and Technology Transfer of Universitas Bina Nusantara. It provides a forum for lecturers, academicians, researchers, practitioners, and students to deliver and share knowledge through empirical and theoretical research articles, case studies, and literature reviews. The journal invites professionals in the world of education and research to participate in disseminating ideas, concepts, new theories, or science development in the form of articles in the field of Indonesian Culture, exploring behavior and thinking, values, attitudes, norms, art and design, ritual and belief, cultural psychology, and cultural communications. Peer Review Process To maintain high standards of quality in its publication, each manuscript of our journal received by the secretariat will undergo the following process: Desk review by the editors to determine whether the manuscripts comply to the writing guidelines. If the manuscripts comply to the writing guidelines, then plagiarism check will be undertaken using Turnitin. The maximum similarity check result is 15%. After passing the second step, the manuscripts are reviewed by two reviewers (double blind peer-reviews). The reviewers do not know the names or identities of the authors during this process, nor do the authors know the identity of the reviewers. Reviewers may be Editorial Board members or they may be invited Guest Reviewers. Most submissions receive an editorial decision within 8 weeks until 16 weeks from the date of the submission. An article shall be reviewed by max 1 month per reviewer & be sent back to Editor. Publication Frequency Humaniora JICAS is a national journal published in April and November.
