Aims & Scope

The Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies and Research (JCBPR) is dedicated to advancing the field of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) through the dissemination of cutting-edge research and scholarly work. Our primary focus is on original research that contributes significantly to the understanding, development, and application of cognitive behavioral psychotherapies. The JCBPR serves as a platform for experimental and clinical studies that explore various aspects of CBT, ranging from theoretical foundations to practical applications in clinical settings. We welcome submissions that cover a broad spectrum of topics within the realm of cognitive behavioral therapy, including but not limited to, the efficacy of CBT interventions, mechanisms of change, adaptation of CBT for diverse populations and settings, and the integration of CBT with other therapeutic modalities. The journal is also open to systematic reviews that critically evaluate existing research, case reports that highlight unique or illustrative applications of CBT techniques, brief reports that present preliminary or novel findings, and articles that discuss innovative CBT techniques and their implementation. Our aim is to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue among researchers and practitioners in psychiatry, psychology, and other health-related disciplines. By bridging the gap between research and practice, the JCBPR seeks to contribute to the enhancement of therapeutic outcomes and the overall advancement of mental health care. We encourage contributions from authors around the globe, reflecting the diverse and dynamic nature of cognitive behavioral psychotherapy research.
