Aims & Scope

Statistics, Politics and Policy publish es research at the intersection of statistical analysis, politics, and public policy. The journal welcomes a wide range of empirical and methodological contributions that apply statistical thinking to the study of political processes, policy design and evaluation, and the broader social, economic, and institutional contexts in which policy is made and implemented. As the volume and complexity of data relevant to political and policy questions continue to grow, the need for rigorous, transparent, and context-sensitive statistical analysis has become ever more pressing. The journal provides a forum for research that appli es and develops statistical methodologies to investigate political and policy-related questions across various fields —including political economy, public health, sociology, public opinion research, and governance studies. Statistics, Politics and Policy fosters communication between statisticians, political scientists, policy researchers, and decision-mak ers. It publishes a pplie d research articles, critical methodological reflections, research notes, and commentary pieces that address pressing public issues where statistics play – or should play – a central role. The journal's objective is to demonstrate how innovative and robust statistical analysis can deepen our understanding of politics and policy and contribute to more informed public debate and effective governance.
