Aims & Scope
Verba. Anuario Galego de Filoloxía publishes annual linguistic and philological studies. It was founded in 1974 with the intention of disseminating philological studies carried out in Galicia and with the aim of giving preferential attention to the Galician language. Since then, its main field of study has been Romance languages, among which Spanish, Galician, and Portuguese stand out. Its volumes cover various topics belonging to different areas of linguistic and philological research: grammar, phonology, lexicon, text editing, linguistic theory, and pragmatics. Each issue of the journal Verba contains, in addition to unpublished research articles, brief notes on specific issues and book reviews. Submissions are accepted in the following languages: Galician, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, French, Italian, and English. In addition to the annual volume, the journal publishes a collection of monographic annexes.
