Aims & Scope

The Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Materials aims at publishing selected original research contributions devoted to all natural and modern engineering materials, especially covering the following aspects, among others: micromechanics and nanomechanics of materials, relationship between the structure and mechanical properties, size effects and length/time scale transitions, material instabilities, fatigue, creep, and fracture, processing technologies and impact on mechanical properties and constitutive modelling. Articles on cutting-edge theory, simulations and experiments – used as tools for revealing novel material properties and designing new devices for structural, thermo-chemo-mechanical, and opto-electro-mechanical applications – are encouraged.
