Aims & Scope

PsychOpen GOLD offers a high-quality publication platform for primary publications in psychology. All journals and periodicals published at ZPID’s PsychOpen GOLD platform have to comply with the publishing standards as outlined in: Leibniz Institute For Psychology (ZPID). (2023). ZPID (Leibniz Institute for Psychology). http://dx.doi.org/10.23668/psycharchives.12891 Journals and periodicals applying for inclusion in PsychOpen GOLD are reviewed carefully and competitively against these standards, both at the time of application and on an ongoing basis. Compliance with these standards is a basic prerequisite for acceptance and continuous support for journals and periodicals published at PsychOpen GOLD. Particular emphasis is placed on publication standards, which support open, transparent, and replicable psychological research. A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
