Aims & Scope

The Journal of Sensors and Sensor Systems (JSSS) is an international open-access journal dedicated to the science, application, and advancement of sensors and their integration into measurement systems. The journal is owned by the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA Verband für Sensorik und Messtechnik e.V.), a network representing more than 440 companies and institutes from industry and research, and published by Copernicus Publications. JSSS places particular emphasis on sensor principles and phenomena, measuring systems, sensor technologies, and their practical applications. The journal aims to provide a platform for scientists and professionals in academia, as well as for developers, engineers, and users in industry, to share research results, discuss new developments, and highlight emerging trends in sensing and measurement. By combining academic excellence with industrial relevance through the strong network of the AMA Association, JSSS serves as a bridge between research, application, and innovation in sensor and measurement technology.
