Journal of Sustainable Metallurgy
Springer International Publishing AG · Switzerland · Est. 2015
Aims & Scope
The Journal of Sustainable Metallurgy presents original metallurgical processes and related research aimed at improving the sustainability of metal-producing industries, both from a unit operation and system viewpoint. The journal offers innovative approaches and solutions that minimize energy consumption; improve materials recovery, reuse, and recycling; and ultimately minimize environmental impacts. Encourages contributions that have an articulated and quantified relation to sustainability in the broader sense, supporting the field in its transition to climate neutrality and circularity. Places challenges and solutions in a broader context, such as policy, economics, product design, and value chains. Discusses new techniques, as well as optimization of existing processes, including utilization, treatment, and management of metallurgically generated residues. Serves as a catalyst for tangible change toward more sustainable practices in the metallurgical industrial sector.
