The mission of the journal is consolidation of the community of academic and university scientists on the basis of the principles of scientific and professionalism, actively engage an international audience in the study and discussion of geological and geophysical scientific problems of the region, develop international cooperation in the Caucasus, present the results of regional studies to an accessible international audience. The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts: original articles, reviews, essays, descriptions of professional experience, comments, events reports on actual geological-geophysical and ecological problems of the South of Russia and adjacent territories. The journal accepts manuscripts in Russian and English. Indexation Scopus , Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). "Geology and Geophysics of Russian South" has entered into an electronic licensing relationship with EBSCO Publishing , the world's leading aggregator of full text journals, magazines and eBooks.
