Aims & Scope

The purpose of publishing this journal is to publish the results of research and studies of various educational and research groups of universities and related scientific-research institutions in Iran and abroad in the field of sports physiology and related fields. The journal welcomes articles reporting original research, case reports, short communications and letters to the editor. Review articles, written by experts in their field and referencing their own published works, are also accepted. The topics published in the Journal of Sport and Biomotor Sciences include team sports, individual sports, performance aspects of environmental physiology, applied sport nutrition, biomedical science, and applications of sport technology. Controlled experimental and observational research of a comprehensive or systematic nature is welcome, provided that appropriate standards of scientific methodology and analysis are met. The journal aims to be listed among internationally indexed publications. In this regard, priority in the review and evaluation process will be given to manuscripts that present novel ideas, introduce innovative methods in exercise science and sports physiology-related information technology, or provide valuable investigations at the cellular–molecular level regarding exercise-induced adaptations and the standardization of physical, functional, and skill-related fitness factors. To achieve these objectives, the journal also publishes the English abstracts of articles on its English-language website and aspires to include full-text articles in English in the future.
