Aims & Scope

Aims & Scope Applied Environmental Research publishes full-length research papers and review articles that benefit understanding of the environment and support environmental sustainability. Contributions that deal with environment, environmental pollution, hazardous substance and chemical management, natural resources management, climate change and other interdisciplinary environmental issues with emphasis on sustainable environment are all welcome. Subject areas related to the journal’s scope include: Emerging hazardous pollutants Transboundary pollutants Environmental quality monitoring Environmental modeling Remediation technologies Risk assessment Life cycle assessment Natural resource deterioration and management Policies and measures for environmental protection and management Climate change mitigation and adaptation measures Disaster risk management and resilience The primary criteria for publication are scientific quality and environmental significance.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
