Aims & Scope

Latin American Historical Almanacis a quarterly scientific journal published by the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 2000.The journal is published 4 times a year (March, June, August, November).The articles published are devoted to history, culture and politics of the countries of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula. Inaddition, the journal is focused on the study of the history of left-wing movements and parties, which distinguishes the journalfrom other periodicals in the field of area studies. This is explained by historical connections between Russia and the worldleft-wing movements as well as its possesion of large archives on the topic, primarily, the archives of the Comintern and of the International Communist Movement. The journal has a plan for electronic back-up and preservation of articles based on regular publishing of all articles on theelibrary.ruplatform. Articles are accepted in Russian, English, Spanish and Portuguese.The journal's audience are researchers, teachers and students interested in the history of the Iberoamerican world.
