Revista de Investigaciones Altoandinas
Universidad Nacional del Altiplano de Puno · Peru · Est. 2013
Aims & Scope
The objective of the Revista de Investigaciones Altoandinas - Journal of High Andean Research is to disseminate results and advances in scientific research oriented towards the interaction between humans and the environment in the mountainous regions of the Andean countries, from the foothills to the peaks. The journal preferably publishes multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary work, dedicated to the promotion of regional development in the Andean area within the framework of the triple helix model: academic sector, productive and/or service sector (civil society) and public sector (governmental organizations). The articles published in the Revista de Investigaciones Altoandinas - Journal of High Andean Research must answer the two central questions: In what sense is the research related to the Andean mountainous zones defined by Kapos et al. 2000? How does the research take into account the sociocultural context and its relationship with the mountainous environment, promoting biological and cultural diversity and contributing to the sustainable management of biocultural resources? Therefore, the journal favors manuscripts that take into account the interconnection between the Andean physical-natural and sociocultural context.
