Aims & Scope

Russian Journal of Clinical Ophthalmology is a peer-reviewed journal publishing clinical and basic science research and other relevant manuscripts that relate to epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. The authors and the reviewers are leading experts in the field. The editorial board includes both national and foreign experts covering a wide spectrum of topics in the field, contributing to the Journal issues. Although aiming at the practising clinicians, the journal contains manuscripts of interest to a wider readership in all aspects of the field covering subjects and problems relevant for ophthalmology both in Russia and worldwide. Russian-speaking members of the editorial board chose papers of the top interest from each issue that are translated into English and placed on the journal’s website. Therefore, foreign members of the editorial board can read and review the paper expanding the global reach of the Journal and making the content available for the overseas ophthalmological community. Our Journal provides full open access to all its publications and widely and freely distributed to Russian ophthalmologists, which makes it accessible to any individual interested in the field. The Journal's website provides open access to all articles and issues since 2000 Articles are posted in text and PDF formats, that are convenient for reading and working with materials. The journal accepts for publication original research, translations of published papers from the foreign journals (with the consent of the copyright holder for translation and publication), reviews, systematic reviews, description of professional experience, case-reports and reports from scientific events. Missions of the Russian Journal of Clinical Ophthalmology: 1. To provide free methodological, informational, analytical, scientific and practical support of professional activities for Russian ophthalmologists by publishing the cutting-edge research and information from the leading Russian experts communicating with foreign colleagues; 2. To increase the outreach and visibility of the Russian scientific manuscripts in the international scientific information field via materials quality improvement (in accordance with international standards) and scientific communications development. The journal is a valuable source of information for researchers, clinicians, tutors and medical students who can get printed versions free of charge at conferences and workshops, or read full text papers online. Involvement of the leading Russian and International experts, participation in all major scientific events, high quality printing, free distribution are possible through Journal's partnership with the leading national and international pharmaceutical companies.
