Aims & Scope

TheJournal of Arts and Social Sciences(JASS) is an open-access, refereed journal that promotes scholarly research on the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Special focus is given to articles that support interdisciplinary studies or contribute to area studies of the Arab world and beyond. The journal publishes original research, including theoretical and applied contributions. JASS is dedicated to publishing scholarship that responds to contemporary social, cultural, historical, and economic realities through empirical and critical studies. It welcomes scholarship that deepens our understanding of human societies, their changes over time, and the respective intellectual traditions that emerged in relation to such societies and their transformations. JASS is an interdisciplinary, selective journal in the arts and social sciences, covering research on (but not limited to):Sociology and Social Work – Studies on social structures, community development, social policies, and welfare interventions.Historical Analysis and Cultural Studies – Research on historiography, heritage preservation, and socio-cultural changes.Linguistics and Literature – Studies in Arabic and English linguistics, translation, discourse analysis, and literary criticism.Political Science and International Relations – Research on governance, diplomacy, public policy, and political philosophy.Economic and Development Studies – Analyses of economic policies, sustainable development, and financial systems.Psychological and Behavioral Studies – Research on cognition, mental well-being, and social psychology.Information Studies and Digital Culture – Studies on knowledge management, digitalization, and the impact of information systems on society.
