The journal has been published consistently over the years by the society at its own expense, primary of the editor-in-chief. Since 2018, the journal has been re-registered under the current titleTheriologia Ukrainica, with ISSN 2616-7379 (print) and 2617-1120 (online). Since 2019 the journal is published half-yearly. The contents are available under CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Online-media identifier: R40-07051. Publication of articles is free of charge for authors (APC fees are planned since 2026). The journal publishes papers presenting results of original research into several aspects of mammalian biology, in particular fauna, ecology, distribution, evolution, taxonomy, variability, diversity, and conservation. Reviews, papers on science and research history are also welcomed. Simple faunal lists without any kind of analysis are not considered for publication. The journal is published semi-annually (until 2018 annually). The terms of the journal's preparation are as follows: all stages of work with the authors last until the 30 of June for the first volume of the year and until the 30 of December for the second volume. The editorial preparation of contents and online publication is carried out during the next 60 days, until late August and late February, respectively.
