Asian Development Policy Review (ADPR) is a peer-reviewed academic journal committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in development economics, with a particular focus on emerging and transitional economies. The journal publishes original, high-quality research that offers rigorous theoretical and empirical insights into the complex challenges of economic development. While maintaining strong academic standards, ADPR emphasizes policy relevance, aiming to bridge the gap between economic theory and practice. The journal serves as a valuable resource for economists, policymakers, researchers, and development practitioners, especially in low- and middle-income countries. ADPR encourages submissions that propose innovative methodologies, deliver impactful findings, and offer actionable recommendations for sustainable and inclusive development. ADPR welcomes contributions across a wide range of development-related themes, including: Demographic and Social Change Aging populations, human development, income distribution, social development, international migration, population and environment. Economic Structure and Policy Development economics, economic policy analysis, financial and fiscal policy, trade and commercial policy, labor policies, institutional development. Markets and Behavior Consumer satisfaction, labor markets (formal and informal), market integration, economic behavior in developing contexts. Sectoral and Regional Development Agricultural and rural development, industrial development, technological change, productivity, country case studies. Sustainability and Natural Resources Environmental development, natural resource management, sustainable development goals (SDGs), climate-resilient development. Theoretical and Empirical Growth Studies Growth models, macroeconomic performance, cross-country comparisons, and micro-level development analysis. ADPR prioritizes research that addresses real-world issues in Asia and other developing regions, promoting cross-disciplinary approaches and fostering dialogue between scholars and policymakers. ADPR accepts submissions from different regions of the world and aims to publish articles that can be linked with development policies.
