Aims & Scope
The Journal of Clinical Psychology in Childhood and Adolescence (Revista de Psicología Clínica con Niños y Adolescentes, JCPCA) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research relevant to professionals and researchers in the field of Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology. Aims and scope among other areas, the development, validation and application of psychological assessment instruments; the design, validation and implementation of psychological interventions and treatments for disorders with onset in childhood and adolescence, including neurodevelopmental, emotional, anxiety, mood, behavioral, eating, sleep, somatoform, dissociative and personality disorders. The journal also welcomes research addressing environmental, family and psychosocial factors involved in the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of physical and mental health problems, as well as studies on health promotion and disease prevention, personality and clinical assessment, critical reviews and meta-analyses on treatment effectiveness, and methodological contributions relevant to clinical practice with children and adolescents. Priority topics include: Risk factors for child and adolescent mental health Clinical assessment in childhood and adolescence Psychological therapy in childhood and adolescence Psychological treatments.
