Aims & Scope

Thejournal ofResearch inWestern Iranian Languages and Dialects(RWILD)is published quarterly to support research in languages and dialects spoken in western Iranian provinces in particular and theoretical papers related to more general issues in human language. The area covered by RWILD consists of a wide range of languages and dialects such as Kurdish, Hawrami, Lori, Laki, Turkish, and Persian. RWILD wishes to be home for publishing original descriptive and theoretical papers related to these dialects. In addition, anthropological, semiotic, social, historical, and cultural research concerned with these dialects are also accepted for publication. The aims of the journal ofResearch in Western Iranian Languages and Dialects(RWILD) include: 1.Promotion of Research: To encourage and disseminate research on Western Iranian languages and dialects, fostering a deeper understanding of their linguistic features, historical development, and sociolinguistic contexts.2.Documentation: To document lesser-studied languages and dialects, contributing to the preservation of linguistic diversity and cultural heritage.Interdisciplinary Approaches: To facilitate interdisciplinary studies that explore the intersections of linguistics with anthropology, history, literature, and cultural studies.3.Platform for Scholars: To provide a platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to share their findings, methodologies, and insights related to Western Iranian languages.4.Encouragement of Collaboration: To promote collaboration among researchers from different regions and backgrounds to enhance the quality and scope of research in this field.5.Educational Resource: To serve as a valuable resource for educators, students, and linguists interested in Western Iranian languages and dialects.
