Aims & Scope

The major goal of the journal is to propagate the findings of research works on desert areas. Such areas cover a part of Iran and some other countries that make up the desert belt of the world. These zones have great potentials that can be identified and exploited with the insights gained through geographical studies. This journal promises to provide part of such insights. Its specific goals can, accordingly, be defined as follows: a. publishing research papers on desert areas in all fields of geography; b. using expert opinions to academically resolve controversial issues about desert areas; c. combining the findings of different studies in the field of desert areas so as to draw general conclusions from natural, human, economic, cultural and political perspectives; d. introducing the research centers worldwide specialized in desert areas.
