Innovative Surgical Sciences (ISS) is the leading Open Access journal of the German Society of Surgery. Inspired by the principles of the Berlin Declaration, ISS is committed to making surgical knowledge freely accessible worldwide. Our mission: Excellence, transparency, and speed in scientific publishing. We publish high-quality contributions across all areas of modern surgery: • Clinical and experimental research • Original articles and systematic reviews • Case reports and guidelines • Perspectives and scientific debate From bench to bedside – ISS connects science and clinical practice. Broad Surgical Scope General surgery, digestive surgery, vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, thoracic and cardiac surgery, and translational research.
