Su objetivo es difundir investigaciones sobre lingüística y literatura desde diversos enfoques, ofreciendo un espacio académico en el campo de la filología para el intercambio de ideas entre investigadores nacionales e internacionales. La revista acepta trabajos originales e inéditos de carácter científico sobre lengua, lingüística, teoría literaria y literatura en los ámbitos hispánico, anglófono y francófono, así como en el área de los estudios clásicos (latín y griego). La revista se dirige a un público especializado: profesorado universitario, investigadores, estudiantes de doctorado y lectores interesados en las áreas mencionadas.
