Aims & Scope
Studia z Polityki Publicznej / Public Policy Studies is an academic quarterly that publishes academic texts devoted to the broadly understood issues of public policy in its various dimensions. The journal's profile refers to the Anglo-Saxon analytical tradition known by the English name public policy. Texts are devoted to public policy issues in its various dimensions, including, among others: - analysis of public problems (challenges, risks), - analysis of public actions (reforms) in various types of policies (sectoral and horizontal), - networks of stakeholders of specific policies (policy communities), their interests, mutual interactions, - concepts or theories of public policy (including sectoral policies), - models and cycles in a given policy (from problem diagnosis to solution evaluation), - attitudes, values, motives of policy actors (e.g., the role of trust among stakeholders, ability to cooperate), - methods of evaluating results in policies, - indicators illustrating the results of public actions, - resource allocation mechanisms in public action (market and its failures, state failures), - sources influencing the shaping of public policies (e.g., intellectual, socio-cultural, historical sources), - sources of knowledge in selected policies (policy knowledge), knowledge brokers (expert networks), - decision-making processes and styles of action in public policy (unilateral vs. partnership actions, anticipation of problems vs. reactivity), - institutional factors shaping public policy (e.g., party systems, parliamentary systems, public administration). We invite submissions devoted to economic, social (e.g., social policy, social security), infrastructural (e.g., energy, transport) policies, as well as education, higher education policies, and horizontal policies (regional policy, public strategies, etc.).
