Aims & Scope

npj Flexible Electronics considers research that explores all aspects of flexible electronic systems, including plastic electronics and emerging materials, new device design and fabrication technologies, and applications. The journal covers a broad range of topics including but not limited to:   Advanced and emerging materials for flexible electronics, including plastic, molecular and inorganic systems, two-dimensional materials, biomaterials, nanofibers, degradable materials Flexible devices, systems, and applications, including bioelectronics and health monitoring, sensors and actuators, energy harvesting and storage, optoelectronics, computing, robotics, wearables, e-textiles, and packaging Fabrication and processing of flexible devices, including lithography, printing, solution processing, patterning, self-assembly, device integration, transient electronics, circular and responsible electronics Material properties and phenomena relevant for flexible devices, including device physics Device architecture, simulation, and testing The journal offers more choice to Nature Portfolio authors who are seeking a fully open-access and more inclusive platform for publishing their work. The journal is led by electronics experts who collaborate to cultivate high-quality research.
