The Journal of Agricultural Extension publishes conceptual papers and empirical research that tests, extends, or builds agricultural extension theory. It focuses on contributing to the practice of extension worldwide, particularly concerning rural development through agricultural extension practices. The journal generally does not publish articles based on research covering very small geographic areas unless they present critical insights into new and emerging issues in agricultural extension and rural development.
