Aims & Scope
JUSIFO (Jurnal Sistem Informasi) focuses on AI-enabled information systems and digital transformation , with a distinctive emphasis on halal digital ecosystems , Islamic digital economy , and socio-organizational information systems . The journal publishes scholarly works that examine how information systems are designed, developed, adopted, evaluated, governed, secured, and used to support decision-making, service innovation, organizational performance, public value, and societal transformation. JUSIFO welcomes empirical, design-oriented, conceptual, and review-based manuscripts that provide clear theoretical, methodological, or practical contributions to the field of information systems. The journal particularly encourages studies that integrate artificial intelligence, data analytics, intelligent decision support, and emerging digital technologies within organizational, business, educational, governmental, community, and halal industry contexts . SCOPES JUSIFO welcomes manuscripts in the following focused areas: 1. AI-Enabled Information Systems and Decision Support This area covers research on the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analytics, and intelligent models into information systems to support decision-making, automation, prediction, recommendation, and service improvement. Relevant topics include: AI-enabled information systems; intelligent decision support systems; recommender systems; predictive analytics and forecasting; classification, clustering, and regression in applications; sentiment analysis and text mining for organizational or social decision-making; generative AI adoption and use in information systems; responsible, ethical, and explainable AI in information systems. 2. Digital Transformation and Enterprise Information Systems This area covers research on information systems that support digital transformation, business process improvement, organizational change, and enterprise-level digital services. Relevant topics include: digital transformation strategy and readiness; digital business and e-commerce; supply chain management systems; web-based and mobile-based information systems; information systems for SMEs and organizational innovation. 3. Halal Digital Ecosystems and Islamic Digital Economy This area represents the distinctive academic identity of JUSIFO. It covers research on information systems and digital technologies that support halal industry, Islamic digital economy, Muslim consumers, Islamic financial services, and faith-based digital ecosystems. Relevant topics include: information systems for halal industry; AI and analytics for halal business, Islamic finance, and Muslim society; halal supply chain and halal traceability systems; digital transformation in Islamic higher education and Islamic organizations. 4. Public, Educational, and Spatial Information Systems This area covers information systems used to improve public services, education, community development, and spatially informed decision-making. Relevant topics include: e-government and digital public services; e-learning and educational information systems; halal supply chain and halal traceability systems; geographic information systems from an information systems perspective; information systems for disaster management, health services, agriculture, and community development. 5. Information Systems Adoption, Governance, Security, and Evaluation This area covers studies that evaluate the acceptance, use, governance, risk, security, quality, and impact of information systems. Relevant topics include: technology adoption and continuance; IT governance and IT service management; information security management; privacy, trust, and data protection in digital services; cryptography; governance of AI-enabled systems and digital platforms.
