Aims & Scope
Creative Arts in Education and Therapy (CAET) – East, West and Global Perspectives is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing knowledge, practice, and dialogue across the fields of creative arts, therapy, education, and health. Promote high-quality research and practice-based inquiry Support the development of arts in health and creative arts therapy Encourage interdisciplinary collaboration across related fields Foster cross-cultural and international dialogue, with particular attention to East–West perspectives Contribute to the integration of body, mind, and spirit in arts and health practices CAET aligns with the mission of the International Association of Creative Arts in Education and Therapy (IACAET) in advancing the global development of the arts and health field and supporting inclusive collaboration across regions. CAET welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines and professional contexts, including but not limited to: Creative Arts Therapy (e.g., dance/movement, music, drama, visual arts) Arts in Health and healthcare applications Arts Education and creative pedagogy Expressive arts and intermodal practices Community arts and socially engaged practices Interdisciplinary approaches integrating arts, psychology, education, and health The journal values both: Empirical research (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods) Practice-based and arts-based inquiry CAET publishes: Original research articles Practice-based and reflective papers Theoretical and conceptual articles Case studies Book reviews and reports CAET operates at the intersection of: Arts Therapy Education Health The journal encourages contributions that bridge disciplines and explore innovative frameworks, methods, and applications.
