Aims & Scope

Psikoislamedia: Jurnal Psikologi (PJP) is dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly works that advance the integration of psychological science and Islamic values in understanding human behavior and mental well-being. The journal serves as a platform for theoretical, empirical, and applied research that bridges the intersection between psychology, culture, spirituality, and society . The primary focus of Psikoislamedia is on studies that contribute to the scientific understanding of psychological processes within individual, social, and cultural contexts—particularly those that explore the relevance of Islamic principles to human functioning, resilience, and flourishing. PJP welcomes manuscripts employing diverse methodological approaches including quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, and experimental designs . Scope of the Journal includes, but is not limited to, the following research areas: Islamic Psychology and Spiritual Well-Being — conceptual and empirical studies examining psychological constructs within Islamic perspectives, religiosity, spirituality, and moral development. Clinical and Counseling Psychology — research addressing psychological assessment, therapy models, mental health interventions, and coping mechanisms for various populations. Educational and Developmental Psychology — studies on learning, motivation, parenting, cognitive-emotional growth, and moral or character education in diverse educational settings. Industrial and Organizational Psychology — topics covering work motivation, organizational behavior, leadership, employee well-being, and Islamic work ethics. Health, Positive, and Community Psychology — studies promoting mental health literacy, preventive interventions, and community-based empowerment grounded in cultural or religious contexts. Social, Cultural, and Cross-Disciplinary Psychology — investigations of attitudes, identity, prejudice, prosocial behavior, and intergroup relations from multicultural or faith-informed perspectives. Disaster and Trauma Psychology — research on psychological adaptation, resilience, and recovery in post-disaster, conflict, or humanitarian contexts, particularly within Muslim communities. Psikoislamedia encourages submissions from scholars, practitioners, and researchers across disciplines that share the journal’s mission to promote integrative, ethical, and socially responsible psychology . Manuscripts focusing on emerging psychological issues in Muslim societies, cross-cultural comparisons, or indigenous psychological models are particularly welcome. Through its publications, Psikoislamedia seeks to foster scientific dialogue and knowledge dissemination that strengthen the contribution of psychology to global understanding — rooted in both empirical evidence and Islamic human values .
