Aims & Scope
The Journal of Obesity & Metabolic Syndrome (JOMES) is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research, reviews, case reports, and other relevant articles on all aspects of obesity and metabolic syndrome. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers and clinicians to share their findings and insights, and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in this field. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: Epidemiology of obesity and metabolic syndrome, Pathophysiology of obesity and metabolic syndrome, Nutrition and dietetics, Exercise and physical activity, Pharmacological treatment of obesity and metabolic syndrome, Bariatric surgery, Behavioral and psychological aspects of obesity, Obesity and related comorbidities (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer), Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), Sarcopenia, Pediatrics and adolescent obesity, Aging and obesity, Emerging therapeutics and biomarkers for obesity and metabolic syndrome, Clinical research on obesity and metabolic syndrome, Basic research on the mechanisms of obesity and metabolic syndrome, Lifestyle medicine and public health approaches to obesity and metabolic syndrome.
