Acta Informatica broadly refers to the body of knowledge, practices, and studies within the field of informatics. It encompasses the systematic exploration of information, its representation, processing, and communication through both natural and artificial systems. The discipline integrates concepts from computer science, mathematics, and information theory, with applications ranging from algorithms and data structures to software development and computational models. By bridging theory and practice, Acta Informatica highlights the role of information as a fundamental resource in science, technology, and society. The journal addresses a wide spectrum of topics, with a particular focus on the scientific, social, and business dimensions of informatics. This includes applied computer science, information science, and information systems.
